Marvin Vanderhorst
Hello, I am Marvin C. Vanderhorst and I serve as the President of the Royal Esquires’ Club. I was born on Saturday October 20, 1951 in New Orleans, LA., and raised in San Francisco, CA. moving to Seattle in 1979, parent of 3 grown children and 2 young grandchildren. Retired in 2007 after 34 years with Qwest Communications, I presently serve on the board of Columbia City Business Association, Chair the Columbia City Business Improvement Association, sit on Rainier Valley Chamber Board, and a 14 year board member of Central Area Community Festival. I’ve been a member of the Royal Esquires’ Club since 2005 and have served as Treasurer, as well as on several committees, I was elected President in 2007 and currently serving my second term. Couple of the things I love doing are gardening, and cooking then taking the time to do both. I also enjoy designing and building outdoor entertainment centers. (you can enjoy the outdoors year round)
I believe the greatest gift you can give is yourself, and being a member of the Royal Esquires’ Club which is a non-profit 501(c) 7 organization is one way giving back to the community which works for me. For the past three years I’ve made a point to bring to the attention of the community that the Royal Esquires’ Club is committed to community service. For me volunteering is an opportunity to contribute to others which in turn enriches my life. We’re always looking for men that understand that this organization is “More Than a Night Club” to join us by becoming an Esquire and make a contribution to the community with us.
